Letter Bridge is now out in Beta. It's a multiplayer game where players take turns connecting words by sharing letters at the boundary between them.
The basic rule: the last letter of the current word has to be the first letter of your new word. That gets you a single-letter overlap and 1 point. But if multiple letters at the end of the current word match the start of yours, you can use all of them and earn more. "YELLOW" turning into "LOWER" will score 3 points instead of 1.
How It Plays Out
Every round a word is placed on the board by the game. Players go around in order, each extending the bridge. Each turn has a timer. If the timer runs out, you lose a life. Lose all your lives and you are out for the round.
The timer also shrinks each lap around the table, so the game gets faster the longer it goes. Early on you have a comfortable 8 seconds. By the time half the players have been eliminated, turns can be 4 seconds or less. Bridge points earned from overlaps count toward extra lives, so staying aggressive about big overlaps gives you more room for error later.
Try It Now
Letter Bridge is available from the game selector in any room. It works well with three or more players but can be played in smaller groups too. Keep in mind it's in beta, so let us know if you encounter any issues, or have feedback to share!
