This is a multiplayer game website where people can play party games together online. By using scono (this site), you agree to these terms and understand how we handle your information.
THE SHORT VERSION (tl;dr)
- You pick a name, play games, have fun
- We collect minimal data to run multiplayer games
- We log player names + IPs for security/moderation
- We use Google Analytics to improve the site

- Your game session data expires within 24 hours

THE BASIC RULES

- Be respectful to other players
- Have fun and enjoy the games
(Please) DON'T:
- Try to hack or break the site
- Spam chat or flood rooms with messages
- Use offensive usernames or chat messages
- Create excessive rooms to waste server resources
- Share offensive or inappropriate content with those who don't wish to see it
We can remove you from a room or restrict your access if you break these rules.
WHAT WE COLLECT
To run the games, we collect minimal information:
WHEN YOU CREATE OR JOIN A ROOM:
- Your chosen player name (only for that game session)
- A random session ID (so you can rejoin if you disconnect)
- Your IP address (server-side only, for security purposes)
DURING GAMEPLAY:
- Game data: your scores, guesses, drawings, answers, etc.
- Chat messages you send in rooms
- Your emoji and color preferences for that session
STORED ON YOUR DEVICE (Browser Storage):
- Session ID (so you can rejoin your room)
- Room code (for convenience)
- Volume settings
- Music preferences
- Ad display preferences
ANALYTICS & ADVERTISING:
- We use Analytics tools to understand site usage (pages visited, time on site)
- We may display ads through third-party ad networks
- Ad networks may use cookies or tracking to show relevant ads
- You can opt out of personalized ads through your browser settings
WHAT WE DON'T COLLECT DIRECTLY
- We don't collect emails, phone numbers, or real names
- We don't require account registration
- We don't store your payment information (the site is free)
